Nibedita grew up in a joint family where her generation of women were the firsts to go to work. The life choices and career choices that she made were in tandem to bring peace and conformity to the already set patriarchal thinking. Nibedita after finishing her studies in CA, took up a job in an MNC ,the long hours of work curbed her creative flow and she felt boxed with each passing day. During this time she was introduced to Sudhrieti (who later became her mentor) who realized her inner turmoil and encouraged her to listen to her calling. With women going out and taking up multiple roles and juggling hands in society along with work and family, she stumbled upon the idea of comfortable clothing and mindfulness journals for working women. Thus gave rise to mizi~ a brand name derived from the concept of flowing water so that the feminine essence doesn’t stop even in the midst of constant push and pull of societal and family demands.
